PRACTICAL LEADERSHIP
Listening. Planning. Serving.

WHERE I STAND
Why I’m Running &
What I’ll Do Differently
1
Infrastructure
District 2's roads, stormwater systems, and public services have not kept pace with development and we’ve seen too many “yes” votes on growth without clear infrastructure trade-offs. As your County Commissioner, I will insist that growth decisions and budget priorities align with measurable infrastructure capacity. I will push for clearer cost breakdowns, prioritize capital planning, and advocate early and consistently for District 2.
2
School Funding
Development has been approved without matching investments in school capacity. Budget decisions haven’t reflected the urgency families and teachers feel. I will treat school capacity as a priority, not an afterthought, pushing for growth decisions that account for classroom impact, advocating early for responsible funding, and ensuring families clearly understand how those decisions are made.
3
Clear Communication
Residents frequently learn about impacts after votes are taken, budget trade-offs are not clearly explained, and communication tends to be reactive instead of consistent. I will prioritize routine, proactive communication, breaking down major votes in plain language, explaining budget trade-offs before decisions are finalized, and creating consistent opportunities for dialogue throughout the year, not just during controversy.
MY BACKGROUND
Experience grounded in service, responsibility, and community.
I’m a small-business owner, licensed professional, and longtime community volunteer. My work has required listening carefully, managing limited resources responsibly, and coordinating across different stakeholders — skills that directly translate to effective public service.

Beyond my professional life, service has always been a constant. I’ve volunteered with the Chattanooga Free Store, the Red Bank Community Food Pantry, and Chattanooga Room in the Inn, supporting women and children experiencing housing instability. I’m also actively involved at my daughter’s school, Normal Park, where I volunteer and stay engaged in the day-to-day realities families face when balancing work, education, and community life.

Alongside this service, I’ve remained deeply involved in education and workforce leadership. I was elected as a SkillsUSA Officer and Reporter for Chattanooga State Community College, and later chosen by my peers to serve as Tennessee SkillsUSA State Officer and Reporter, representing students across the entire state. I was nominated for the Sixth Annual Statewide Outstanding Achievement Recognition (SOAR) Award for East Tennessee and ultimately honored as Statewide SOAR Technical College Student of the Year for 2024 — achievements earned while attending school as a single mother.

These experiences taught me how to persevere under pressure, compete against long odds, and show up consistently — even when it’s difficult. They also reinforced something I carry with me every day: no accomplishment is achieved alone. I remain deeply thankful for the mentors, volunteers, educators, family members, and community leaders who supported me along the way.

I don’t come to this role as a career politician. I come as a neighbor — someone who understands hard work, values collaboration, and believes public service should be accessible, informed, and rooted in everyday experience.
